How To Install VMware WorkStation?

Workstation is the desktop version of the virtualization software from VMware. It allows managing virtual machines over the desktop and it offers wide range of tools and supports Windows & Linux platforms. Download the VMWare Workstation trail for free by registering at VMware website or purchase the license.

• Run the setup file to initiate the installation.

• At the welcome screen click Next.

• Select Typical to continue.

• Choose location and click on next.

• If you wish to check for product updates on start-up check the box and click next (I prefer to skip this step).

• Check “Help improve VMware workstation” if you wish to send anonymous usage statistics to VMware (I prefer to skip this step).

• Choose the shortcuts at your convenience and Click Next.

• Click continue to begin the process.

• The setup will start copying the files and installs VMware Workstation 7.1.4.

• Click on Skip to continues the installation (you can enter the key after completing the installation).

• Click on Restart Now to restart the machine.

That’s it. Now you can start using Workstation.
